In most states there is a minimum age in which a person can legally purchase a gun. Lastly, all states require a gun license prior to the purchase of a gun. All states also require a background check and a clean legal record. Common gun laws also include: requiring a hunting certificate when buying a gun, such as a rifle; purchasing proper carrying cases, and properly storing the guns when the gun is not being used.
